So for ability scores we got
Strength Dexterity Constitution Wisdom Intelligence Charisma
So those are the standard ability scores. Should we rename any of them to be different or add anything?
Skills are varied should we do more broad skills or focused... or a combination. I always prefer the broad, and then a bonus for specializations
I take the Combat Skill, and can focus on Swords. Or I take Social skills and focus on Seduction.

Power, Agility, Endurance, Judgement, Knowledge, Presence
Would make it not DND traditional.
What is the connection between attributes and skills? add them together to come up with the number that needs to be rolled?

Yeah. If we just made the skills modifiers for the rolls of the ability score then that might give us more flexibility and make it a little easier. Like a Skill would give you plus ten, and a focus would give you another plus ten.
That make sense?

So I am thinking that if we do the attributes out of one hundred then the average would be fifty each? Should I give everyone 300 points for character creation?

Perhaps, depending on race, everyone starts with varying stats- but adding up to a total default number, and then whatever else we're given to adjust. For instance, Lupines would have higher power, or whatever variation, than a ratman, while the ratman would have a higher agility. It could make choosing race and racial attributes have a bit more of an effect rather than us all being the same stat-wise despite race.
