What is the name of your race?: The Notturno.
What does your race look like?
: They appear much like normal humans, however their skin is always extremely pale, their eyes black as the void, and each of their original bloodlines had a distinguishing feature, such as short horns, natural markings, or razor teeth.
How is your race organized?
:
Their are only 2 named positions within the Notturno.
The Archon, whose duties involve standing as adjudicator when votes are made within the Notturno, who settles any tied votes, and who manages any details unworthy of a vote. The Archon serves for 50 years before stepping down.
The Inheritor, whose duties vary between serving as the representative for the Notturno/voting on their behalf, and serving as something of an assistant to the Archon when possible/needed. The Inheritor also becomes the new Archon when the term of the previous one ends.
Apart from that, every one of the Notturno is an equal, and any decisions they make are decided with an internal vote.
How many of your race remain?: 50
What are the powers of your people?:
The Notturno are known for their agility, which is notably superior to human agility, though not at superhuman levels. They also have eyes that are far more sensitive to light then that of normal humans, allowing them to see clearly where normal humans would be effectively blind.
What is the reputation of your people with others?
: As a truly ancient race, most people have always generally respected the Notturno, or at least shown respect. They are sometimes viewed as frail or abnormal due to their need to wear blindfolds in the day. Some people who are more uptight about the topic of slaves are critical of them, as they rely absolutely on them in the daytime. To the empire they are considered close allies, since when Hadrail began his conquest, they voluntarily joined his empire, and offered to help fund the constant supply of his forces.
What was your people's role in the old Empire?
: Since they at an early stage secured their place as wealthy merchants, while having slaves produce some goods within their lands. Thanks to this they were known as the merchant lords of the old empire.
What is your people's diet?: Omnivore, though they do have a particular taste for meat.
What are the legends of your people?: They only really have one, of the Last Lord Illytharn, the final ruler of their kind who more than 10000 years ago made a pact with a ghostly spirit, granting them their night eyes, and their enhanced agility so that they would be great hunters of the night.
Does your race have its own religion or just follow the Empire?: The Notturno believe in the Silent specter (The spirit they believe granted them their unique features), and that it still resides within each of them, granting them strength and their distinct capabilities.
How much was your race involved int trade before, and what was its greatest industry?: The Notturno were heavily involved in trade, though not directly, with plantations across their lands, and merchant caravans they own all across the empire, they never had one particular trade, so much as they were general merchants, trading what they saw was valuable.
