Name: The Imperial Expeditionary Company (Known as “The Company” or “Company Men”)
Numbers: 1,900 (1,500 fighting men, 400 civilians, 0 old or infirmed ) divided amongst 2 Imperial Dreadnoughts and 1 Imperial Leviathan
Role: The Imperial Expeditionary Company was the primary colonial enterprise in the Empire. Originally a joint stock company, formed for discovering lands in uncharted lands and establish trade, the Company eventually gained great infamy and power under Imperial rule. Shares of the company were owned by wealthy human merchants and aristocrats. The government owned no shares and had only indirect control. The Company eventually came to rule large areas on the edges of the Empire with its own private armies, exercising military power and assuming administrative functions. Historically, the leader of the Company was also the Lord Admiral of the Imperial Navy.
Powers: Having no inherent magic ability or natural advantages; the men that would form the Imperial Expeditionary Company came to rely on advanced science and technology to support their colonial exploits in dangerous and uncharted lands. Steam power became the impetus for which The Company would exert their power over the untamed edges of the Empire: massive amphibious warships and firearms bringing order.
Reputation: Known as racist, jingoist, utilitarian colonizers; the Imperial Expeditionary Company became infamous as willing to do anything for the profit of the Empire. In the capital, the men of The Company were known as explorers, adventurers, big game hunters, and heroes; drawing young recruits seeking fame and fortune.
Diet: Omnivorous
Religion: Though the men of the Imperial largely follow the gods of the Empire, few of its leadership are of a devout variety. Instead, eugenics is their true driving force. The belief in the genetic supremacy of humans and refer to most other races as mongrel breeds. They refer to the great disaster that brought the Empire to its knees as “The Culling”, seeing it as a fresh start to ensure the genetic purity of the New World.
Trade: At its height, the 16 amphibious warships of the Imperial Expeditionary Company protected the majority of riches that flowed into the Capital from all corners of the Empire. Bleeding their colonies dry at the expense of the indigenous peoples, they dealt in exotic goods and slaves. Profit was at once the authority and the justification for their actions.

Weakness: The Imperial Expeditionary Company must rely on ample supplies of coal to keep their advanced technology running as well as massive amounts of raw material for their production lines. Also, beneath their armor they are as pink and squishy as any other human.
