Race:
Lupine
Age:
7 (approximately 21 by human standards)
Appearance:
A tall female Lupine, her fur is stark white as pure snow, baring the resemblance to her father, Esarosa, with one difference of the grey tip of her right ear. Her eyes were a golden yellow hue. Ty-Ohni stood an even 6 feet with a muscular feminine shapeliness to her. She wore heavy armor fashioned with the symbol of her pack upon her breastplate. Her weapons of choice were the double blades of the shortswords, sheathed at her sides or on her back.
Life Before the Doom:
Otsana did not give her daughter, Ty-Ohni an inch of advantage or provide any gain. The old mother made use of all her techniques, her instincts and all of her strength. It did not matter that she was the eldest of the Alpha pair's four daughters; Ty-Ohni had to earn the position as well as the respect of the pack. It was time for a changing of the guard since it seems their whole existence was about to change.
The battle seemed to last for hours in the young wolf’s mind, but it had only been a few minutes. Slashing and clawing at her daughter, Otsana charged towards her daughter in a snapping attack. Ty dodged her mother and swatted her with open claws across the back. The red spray of her mother’s blood covered one side of her white face as she jumped atop her mother, baring all of her weight down upon her back.
As the old wolf scrambled beneath her child, claws digging into the earth to free herself, Ty grabbed her mother digging her own claws into her flesh, flipping her over so that their muzzles met closely together. Her golden eyes glared as Ty gave a low growl, gnashing at her jaws close to her face, letting the old one know she had lost. It was Otsana’s turn to submit. Usually these contests would end in more bloodshed than this among the Grey Ears, but this was her mother after all, she would not kill her own blood unless it was necessary to their survival.
The old one who had fought in many battle, earned her own accolades beside her Alpha Mate, inwardly refused to surrender and give the now grown pup her due. Otsana lay beneath her daughter, her chest heaving as she lowered her head, giving her the false sense of victory. Once she felt Ty relax her guard and pushed with her hind legs sending Ty tumbling over her into a nearby tree. The vibration of Ty-Ohni striking the trunk sent a few leaves cascading down on her. Slightly jarred she shook her head to focus and saw her mother barreling down to attack her again. Ty gave her mother a short confused look, but then darted out of the way of the power hungry she-wolf. Again Otsana had missed her. With a guttural growl, she ran her claws down the trunk of the tree leaving angry, deep scars in the bark.
Ty waited for her mother in the center of the circle their pack had created for the battle. Her eyes sad but she did not speak. She readied herself for another charge. Otsana paced in front of her daughter angrily. Everyone knew she was beaten, but she was going to let this happen. Otsana was stronger than her daughter; she did not deserve to sit in the position. “Come mother, let us end this”, Ty said staring at her. Otsana replied with a nod and again charge towards Ty-Ohni, leaping with her claws extended directly for Ty’s throat. With a small sidestep, she let the old one hit the ground and Ohni was on her again. They squabbled about in the dirt sending clouds of dust into the air as the others waited.
There was a low descending howl as the clouds parted; Ty sat growling, shaking the lifeless body of her mother by the throat. Her muzzle and teeth were crimson red and dripping wet with the warm blood. Laying Otsana down, she stood raising a hand in victory and giving a long deep howl. It was hers now, the pack was hers. Her father, Esarosa, arrived towards the end of the fight, he watched as his daughter had taken her place. He had lost his mate, his wife, his equal but gained another with their strength combined. He put his forehead to hers as she dropped her head in sadness for mother. The battle would leave her scarred both physically and mentally for they did not fight with weapons, but in the old ways as the wolves they were made to be. “I am proud of you, my daughter but it time for us to leave this place and save our pack.” He looked at her, ”Other packs are leaving right now for the docks. We must go.”
In his efforts, Esarosa would never see the docks, he would never see his pack make it to safety. He would be killed leading the escape as they fled the Summer Palace. The Grey Ears lost others as well, their numbers dropped from over 60 to a paltry 40 members in all. With Ty-Ohni now serving as the Alpha Female of the pack, it will be time to find another Alpha Male to replace her father. This wolf must possess the strength, the fairness and the love of the pack if they are to survive into their unknown future.
