Also, things like Construction, Fishing/Herblore (would fall in with hunting/foraging?), and perhaps crafting skill(s) assuming people will make their own weapons/armor, though that could flop in with a Construction category as well.

I was going to rape the Pathfinder Skill list when I got home. I would think you could put Fishing, Foraging, Hunting and Tracking as Foci under Survival. I would do maybe an Engineering skill to encompass building/mining with specialities based on material (Stone, Wood, etc.)

Agreed with all. I wasn't certain what system we were going to use as far as specialties/categories, or how specific we'll be getting with it. I'll wait for specifics from Smith before throwing out any more.

Here's what I came up with. It's not the be all and end all, just an attempt. In some cases, a skill focus made more sense under another attribute category, so I just made a note that in those cases, it should default to a different attribute (example dexterity for Combat: Ranged, even though Combat was listed as a Strength Skill) Hope that makes sense.
Couple of notes, Difference between Knowledge: Engineering, and Craft: Masonry/Carpentry, is the difference between the planner and the worker bee. So Knowledge: Engineering would be desired in order to design a castle, and people with Craft: Masonry, would be needed to shape the stone, and place it, etc. Probably Craft: would be capable of smaller items without Engineering (Building a Hut for example).
Profession is kind of a catch all for any jobs which don't fit into an obvious skill area, but need to be done.
Attribute: Skill: Focus, Focus, Etc.
Strength: Athletics: Climb, Swim, Jump, Running (Uses Dex/Con for Sprint/Endurance) Combat: Unarmed, Melee, Ranged(uses Dex not STR)
Dexerity: Stealth: Move Silently, Hide, Camouflage Ride: Horses, Other Fly: Self, Winged Animal
Constitution: NONE
Intelligence: Knowledge: Magical, Agricultural, Engineering, History, Geography, Nature, Religion, (OTHER, As Needed) Craft: Arms, Armor, Tools, Metallurgy, Masonry, Carpentry, OTHER (as Needed) Linguistics: By Language Spellcraft: By Magical Type (elemental, Natural, Other as needed0
Wisdom: Perception: By Sense Survival: Foraging, Hunting, Orienteering, Tracking Profession: As Needed (Should not conflict with other obvious skill) Sense Motive: (Detects Lies)
Charisma: Bluff: Diplomacy: By Race Intimidation: Threaten, Interrogate

BTW, where it says "Other" you should specify. so like Riding: Other, for Marie's Tiger people would be Riding: Tigris, etc. Flying: Self, is for creatures with wings, or the magical ability to fly without riding something.
