Done some looking around, and I can't see much in the way of differing for power and numbers, are or have provisions been made for such? Am I being blind?

Well, smith says my desired race can only have like 3 members, cause they're fairly powerful, but I can't see anything I. Creation that shows this distinction. If there is none, then I want more members.
I am asking if and what the differences in creation will be.

I don't know if Smith has stated this formally, but I know that he has repeatedly said in posts and chat discussion that he intends to see the races balanced both internally (strengths and weakness for each group) as well as against each other (so that one group is not more powerful than another.)
One of the ways he has said he would do that would be by limiting the population of powerful creatures.

What evidence do you need other than Smith said so? It's not like someone is going to come along and contradict him. The fact that there are rules thread for discussions indicate that he's still formulating rules. I'm sure he'll formalize this one in writing, now that you've mentioned.

BTW, smith, I wanted to ask, should people submit the pre, or post apocalypse number? Cause I noted my own numbers were cut in half from my request (which I'm cool with), so I'm assuming that means people should expect that not everyone in their request is gonna survive.

Haha, it comes out to be about 800 give or take. I don't mind cutting them, I think it will make things more interesting, and also, frankly, feeding all those people would have been more difficult.

Hey Smith, have you thought yet how was the Doom? Was it something like monstruous eruptions, monstruous tsunamis, monstruous diversified catastrophes across the Empire or did the Elder Gods descend and wrecked it themselves?
